Abstract

The article analyzes how private enterprise supported by state action violates the Right to Water and the rules of water resources, making a called hydric injustice. This analysis comes from finding the current context of the water crisis - part of a larger crisis of respect of human societies, mediated by the interests of capital, with the natural environment. The Right to Water is treated as a corollary of two other fundamental rights, the Health and the Environment Ecologically Balanced. In turn, the concept of hydric injustice will guide the analysis of the cases of poor distribution and denial of the right to water for human populations, especially as it relates to the operation of Itataia uranium mine and the super water-intensive industries located in the Industrial and Port Complex of Pecém.
